Build Guide
Introduction:
This build incorporates primary skill "Bash" for farming materials in T13 rift or lower GR, with the aid of "Blade of the Warlord", it transform this generator to fury spender. It has become a potent damage dealer thanks to the Raekor's set 6 bonus. Few things to remember, by using Blade of the Warlord, Bash no longer generate fury(might be a bug because Blade of Warlord doesnt specified "instead generate now consume"), thus Depth Digger will not increase its damage, Simplicity's Strength will still provide some extra damage of Bash since it's still a primary skill of barbarian.
The build chooses the rune of Bash "Pulverize" with its impressive aoe damage , coupled with BloodShed of Battle Bash becomes a mini nuke when you spam it. However, you can experience other runes as well if you wish, but keep in mind Bash no longer generate fury! On the side note, another thing of Bash is sometimes superior than Boulder Toss is that you can perform multiple Bash whereas if you miss Boulder Toss, and also out of Furious Charge, you cannot attack at all.
As for CDR, the Obsedian ring of the Zodiac can definitely keep your Wrath of the Berserker permanently as you constantly bash your enemies and allow your Ignore Pain buff at all time as well.
At last, I hope you enjoy this build if you're not the fan of Boulder Toss perhaps give Bash a shot and please feel free to ask questions or provide any optimizations as I'm still learning from D3 community and improving myself too. Thanks and have fun!
Basic game-play strategy:
- Stack Furious Charge before Bash. To fully invoke your Bash potential, remember to stack your Furious Charge a few times before you attack your enemies, most of the time your FC is already devastating, but usually 1~3 charges before Bash can one-shot almost any mobs, if you have high critical chance then you will notice Bash will become an AOE damage. When Encounter elites, try to stack as many as possible ideally 5~8 before your perform Bash to have its maximum damage.
- Movement. Remember to track your Furious Charge's charges to avoid depletion downtime. Try to practice charge for the benefit of Merciless Assault rune and Raekor's set 2 bonus. You can either move around to create density before you strike as you will be stacking Furious Charge bonus, or simply dash in to the mob and start striking.
- Maintain your buff. Make sure you're maintaining your Berserker's mode as you continuously bashing enemies as necessary, keep your War Cry and Battle Rage up all times as well.
- Watch the rotation of Convention of Element. Save your final blow by stacking Furious Charge then wait for the fire rotation to annihilate elites or boss
Skill variations:
According to different play style, there are several skill variations:
WarCry:
-Veteran's Warning : Increase dodge chance, but Impunity is still preferable for this build.
Wrath of the Berserker:
-Striding Giant : Balance between either 50% damage or 50% damage reduction according to your need.
Passives:
-Superstition: Increase your non-physical attack reduction, this build is very squish against element attack, in my opinion is the second best defensive passive along with Nerves of Steel for higher GR
-Brawler: Swap out Superstition if you're confident with your toughness for additional damage
Gems:
[Head]:
- Amethyst(life)
- Diamond(CDR, mainly for WoTB)
[torso]:
- Ruby (T10 - GR70)
- Diamond(GR70+)
[legs]:
- Ruby (T10 - GR70)
- Diamond(GR70+)
Legendary Gem variations:
- Bane of the Stricken (For Rift guardian)
- Simplicity's Strength (Swap out Bane of the Stricken for some extra damage of Bash)
Fifth Passive:
- Brawler(more damage)
- Berserker's Rage(extra damage)
- Superstition(elemental resistance)
- Bloodthirst(recovery)
Kanai's Cube variations:
Magefist (increase fire damage, decrease movement speed drastically)
Ancient Parthen Defender(damage reduction)
